They talk over the theme song a little bit, but then bust into a morning zoo crew bit. 93.3 The Planet. Rory mentions Ben Roy’s upcoming podcast that will mock morning radio. They then launch into trying to figure out when the first #saga was and ask me to respond to whether or not the King Ponters deal was the first saga, and they still wonder if they are being lied to. They then go off on the person who wrote in about supposedly witnessing a murder that they read during the Tuxas live Pen Pals; they requested more about the story, and then the person sent one more sentence and they said that they weren’t going to start playing this game. Rory mentions Jack Philips again because DVK makes a great observation and wants to get to the bottom of the saga like a true detective. Rory gets to the letters in one big jump. DVK messes up a little and says “Shoe to grew” and Rory quickly turns it into a hashtag. DVK tells his story about having his heart broken and going to Jack Philips about it, “today you’re gonna be sad, and tomorrow we’re done with it,” in the thick Chicago accent of Jack Philips. Rory says that he would sneak onto Augusta national for a year in prison, and DVK jokes that he could just go to the simulator in the Minneapolis airport in reference to a conversation they had during the Tuxas redux episode (3/20/2019), but Rory pronounces it simu-LAY-tor. The 2nd letter is snail mail, and the letter writer writes on the envelope that it is #stationery, in reference to the 8/22/2018 episode “Eating & Finding a Partner.” Rory mentions that he’s going to be shooting his show “Robbie” in Atlanta soon. DVK makes a reference to “It’s a Wonderful Life.” “You’re just now realizing you never got a chance to say goodbye to yourself,” is something that Rory says that wants it tattooed on them and to send a picture of it when it’s done.
